DOVER LIFEGUARD CLUB  CHRISTMAS TRAINING CAMP

DOVER LEISURE CENTRE  27TH, AND 28TH DECEMBER 2013

Entry to this camp is by invitation only– forms wil be handed out to those who are invited to attend

 A Two day training course is to be run on Friday 27^th December and Saturday 28^th  December. The course is aimed at those swimmers who are members of the competitive training squads that train weekday mornings in the big pool at the leisure centre.  Children who were born in 2004 are the youngest age group who are eligible to attend unless specially invited.  The cost will be £30, second or more children from the same family will be £20 each. Spaces will be limited  and will be allocated  at the coaches discretion on a first come first serve basis. Individual days will be £ 20 per day or part thereof. To Maximise benefit to the swimmers it is recommended that they attend the whole course.

 There will be 2 x two hour swimming sessions each day plus land conditioning, fitness seminars covering

areas such as diet and gala preparation.  The day will commence at 08.30 hrs and finish at 17.00hrs. Parents must not drop their children off before 0830hrs and be present by 16.45hrs each day. As no meals will be provided a packed lunch will be required. This should include sufficient liquid refreshment for the full day (at least 2 litres!) together with snacks for a mid morning and mid afternoon break.

 You will need to bring your kickboard, pull buoy and fins, plus trainers/jogging bottoms/shorts hoody/sweatshirt/tee shirt for land training in the gym. Please note trainers must be laced up and tied.

 Behavior and personal conduct must at all times be of a high standard and designed to reflect favorably on

Dover Life Guard Club.  Any other behavior is totally unacceptable.

 There will be a social event for the children at the end of the camp. The cost for this is included,

details will be advised separately.

 You must not enter the pool or changing rooms until a member of the coaching team is present.

Please assemble in the bar on arrival.

The coaching team is responsible for discipline and safety whilst on site.

Anyone who misbehaves or persistently fails to respond to instruction may be requested to leave the course.

 Please let me have the completed forms and full payment back as soon as possible but no later than Friday 13th December .
