2022-05-19 12:49:27

Congratulations to some of our long-standing swimmers who are becoming the next generation of Swim Teachers!

Lizzie Anstis (LTR Leader), Hareni Niruban and Nathaniel Turner (Vice Captain) all achieved their Level 1 Assist Swim Teacher qualification at the young age of 16 last month and are all working towards their Level 2 Full Swim Teacher qualification.

Ted Dill Russell (Club Captain) and Molly Lown (Club Captain) who both passed their  Level 1 last year have also achieved his Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Another one of our swimmers Jordan Rogers Mills (National Swimmer) achieved her Level 2 last year and is now one of our Session Leads for our Learn to Race programme.

Nathaniel, Vice Captain was successful in being accepted into the Institute of Swimming's Recruitment Academy with support from Places Leisure from 100s of applicants to help fill the gap in the shortage of swimming teachers Nationwide and to undertake his Level 1 and 2 Swim Teaching sponsored by Swim England and Places Leisure.

Emily Rose Evans, Tizzy Dill Rusell and Lewis Head are in the South East Region Volunteer programme.

All our swimmers above are also poolside volunteers for our club and are invaluable in helping the next generation of swimmers to learn to race and swim!
