Well Done Tommy on your Charity Swim!

2016-06-21 23:59:19

DLGC swimmer Tommy Goldup is 9 and recently asked his mum if he could raise some money for charity by doing a sponsored swim. He chose to do a 45 minute swim and tried to go as far as he could with an experienced swimmer alongside him. Tommy was aiming for 45 minutes (which was longer than he had swum before) but he decided to continue for the hour and managed to complete 1250m, which is double the furthest distance he has ever done before. His younger sister, Hollie, joined him for the final 100m.

So far he has managed to raise £470.

Mum and Dad say they couldn't be more proud!
