" Thank You Twigs
DLGC and all it's members past and present owe a colossal debt of gratitude to long serving member Twigs Redman who is standing down after nearly 40 years of hard work and dedicated service.
Twigs had played a huge part in so many areas of the Club including President of DLGC, President of Friends of DLGC, Lifesaving Secretary, lane coach, Social Secretary and fund raiser, to name a few.
She has been on poolside 6 days a week, helping at an uncountable number of galas, assisting at the Boxing Day Dip and Open Water events etc.
One particular feet is that of running the 'Bonus Ball' on a Thursday night. Over 21 years she has raised an approx £30,000 and the Club can never thank her enough for that alone.
It is therefore, with sadness that we see her go, and wish her all the best in the future.
