Head Coach Tim really is our unsung hero!!

Congratulations Tim! Winner of his category 'unsung hero!' A well deserved award in recognition of the time, energy, commitment and of course laughs provided by Tim over the years he has been with the club. A big thanks from us all!
There were representatives from a wide range of sports from across Kent. Devon Amos was also in attendance and collected the award for the her amazing success in speed lifesaving, including her 2 individual golds in Australia last year.
Bobby Clay (who used to train at Dover Lifeguard club and sister of Alex Clay who still trains with us) picked up the award for best junior sports star for her all conquering year in cross country running.
I was lucky enough to be on the same table as the VIP guest, Sam Northeast , Vice captain for Kent county cricket club and he presented me with the award for unsung hero. This award recognises the hard work put in by all of the volunteers at the club, as without their support we could not run such a successful and dynamic club for our swimmers. Every volunteer at the club deserves this award as their dedication and commitment to the club and sport of swimming deserves recognition.
Thank you to all who voted for me, look around you at the coaches, teachers, committee members and all the others that make our club what it is and take a pride in being part of something so good. Membership of Dover Lifeguard club is an honour and privilege.
