Masters Swimming
Dover Life Guard Club also has a Masters and Juniors Masters Swimming Section, training at Dover Leisure Centre.
What is Masters Swimming?
Masters swimming is essentially swimming for over 18s, although we now offer Junior Masters for swimmers from 13-18. It can offer something for everyone from simply casual fitness and social swimming to highly-organised competitive swimming. How far you go is up to you, but the emphasis is on fun!
Junior Masters
Our Junior Masters (age 13-17) are often swimmers who no longer wish to compete in galas but still want to continue swimming for fitness and enjoyment or develop their skills. Other swimmers may have never swam competitively and wish to see if they can develop their swimming technique in order to compete in the future or simply to enjoy the sport as a hobby or to develop their fitness.
Competitive Masters
If you are ready for a personal challenge then Masters Swimming can open you up to racing, either locally, regionally, nationally or internationally. If you do want to race competitively in England you’ll need to be a Competitive Swimming member. Find out about Membership here.
