Learn to Race Programme
The Dover Life Guard Club 'Learn to Race' Programme lessons Stages 8-10 take place on Thursday evenings from 6.30 pm - 7.30pm at the Dover District Leisure Centre.
The Club participates in the Swim England Learn to Swim Awards Scheme which is the leading national teaching syllabus for delivering safe, inclusive and effective swimming lessons for all ages.
Parents wishing to start their children on their swimming journey from Stages 1-7 can enquire with Places Leisure (Dover District Leisure Centre) about their own Learn to Swim programme. Any swimmers age 7-11 who have passed their Stages 1-5 have the option of joining our NEW Learn 2 Race Squad Programme to develop their swimming skills. A trial session will be offered and an assessment will be made on their suitability.

If you would like to know more about availability of spaces on these sessions (Stages 8-10), please come along on Thursdays from 6.30pm and talk to us on the DLGC Desk in the foyer of Dover District Leisure Centre or email dlgclearntoswim@gmail.com.
Waiting List Procedure:
Please provide ALL of the following details:
* Your child's first name and surname
* Date of birth
* Address
* Contact telephone number
* E-mail address
* Any medical conditions
* Which stages they have already completed of the ASA Awards scheme.
You will then be advised whether there is space on any current lessons or if there is a waiting list. If there is a waiting list, you will be given an estimated ‘wait time’ and asked if you would like to put your swimmer’s name on that list. We will then contact you when a space becomes available, although you are also welcome to contact us every 3-6 months for an update.
