Carolyn Takes to the Open Water of Robben Island

A huge congratulations to our Open Water Club Swimmer, Carolyn Ellis, who, on Valentines Day, completed the iconic 7.4km swim from Robben Island to Blouberg Strand, Cape Town, South Africa in 2hrs 27 mins, as part of the Varne Ridge Robben Island Channel Swim Training Camp.
A beautiful setting in full view of Table Mountain, Carolyn swam in a 'pod' of 3 in case of 'visiting' wildlife!
Carolyn is the first ever member of Dover Lifeguard Club to have completed this swim. Well done Carolyn on this fantastic achievement!
