Training for Open Water Judging

The South East Region Open Water Swimming section are holding a training day for Open Water Swimming Officials.

 

The course will run from 1000-1300 on Sunday 30th March at K2 Crawley. There is no charge for the course but there is an £8 fee for registration as an Open Water official.

 

Course Synopsis 

 

Level 1 applicants will be registered as candidates for Open Water official and will have an experienced referee appointed as a mentor. Your mentor will arrange an introductory course as soon as possible and will direct you through the processes, theoretical work and practical experience required.

 

During your training you will be expected to work alongside qualified officials. Once you have completed your training you will be qualified to act as an Open Water timekeeper, chief timekeeper, finish judge, and turn judge.

 

It costs £8.00 each to register for British Swimming Open Water Official Level 1.
